Stephanie Gopen is an Associate Attorney at Cona Elder Law. Ms. Gopen practices in the areas of trusts and estates, tax planning, estate litigation, and probate and estate administration. She represents high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals in estate planning, including preparing complex wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, insurance trusts, charitable trusts and other trusts for tax planning purposes. Ms. Gopen manages all aspects of estate and trust administration, such as probate and administration petitions, formal and informal accountings, inventory of assets, and preparation of all federal and state estate tax returns. Ms. Gopen also handles will contests, turnover proceedings, removal of fiduciaries, contested accounting proceedings, and all aspects of estate litigation, including pleadings, motions, objections, and discovery demands.
Ms. Gopen handles guardianship proceedings in the Surrogate’s Court as well as the Supreme Court and is a Certified Guardian ad Litem, Court Evaluator, Counsel for Alleged Incapacitated Persons, and Counsel to Guardians.
