Shaina Jones Magrone is Senior Counsel at Cona Elder Law. Ms. Jones Magrone concentrates her practice in estate planning, tax planning, wealth transfer planning for high-net-worth individuals and families, asset protection planning, special needs trusts, and guardianships. On behalf of businesses, both well-established and start-up, Ms. Jones Magrone handles all aspects of business formation, corporate governance, partner buy-outs, securing intellectual property, trademark protection, and business succession planning. Ms. Jones Magrone’s legal experience spans business law, intellectual property law, and estate planning. Her philosophy is to partner with her clients not only to help them create and build their legacy but to protect it as well. Ms. Jones Magrone’s business law and intellectual property law practices focus on supporting entrepreneurs in all phases of business, from start-up, to growth and scale, to succession planning. Ms. Jones Magrone began her legal career as a civil and criminal trial attorney. She worked zealously to achieve the best outcome for her clients. It was as a trial attorney that Jones Magrone first honed her counseling skills. Representing clients at a time when something had gone wrong in their lives allowed Jones Magrone to gain understanding of the changes that would have saved them from criminal court or civil litigation. She turned that hindsight into foresight when she transitioned away from representing clients at trial and turned toward helping them build successful businesses. She carries that same planning foresight into her work with estate planning clients. Jones Magrone comes to Cona Elder Law after her tenure as founder and managing partner of Artisan Law. Prior to establishing Artisan Law, she was an intellectual property attorney for a Fortune 500 company, a civil litigation attorney in New York, and an assistant defender for the Defender Association of Philadelphia.
