Join us for a free seminar at the ELIJA Farm, where we will delve into the essential topic of transition planning for parents of children with special needs. This enlightening program aims to equip parents with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate the often complex world of legal and healthcare considerations, ensuring a smooth transition for their child into adulthood.

Cona Elder Law Senior Partner and ELIJA Board Member, Melissa Negrin-Wiener and Associate Attorney Patricia Craig will be leading a comprehensive session on the legal aspects of transition planning. Their expertise in special needs planning, 17A guardianships and government benefit eligibility will provide valuable insights on how to protect your child’s rights, secure their financial future, and access the necessary support systems.

In addition, Megan Shergill, of Community Care Home Health Services, will share her expertise on how the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) can enhance the quality of life for children with special needs.
