Cona in the Community

At Cona Elder Law, social responsibility and community service are woven into the fabric of our firm and are at the heart of everything we do. We give our time and talents to causes that are important to us, in addition to monetary contributions. We especially like to roll up our sleeves and have experiential volunteer projects, whether that is cooking and serving food to the hungry and unhoused, planting food in sustainable fields, packing up canned goods for delivery to food pantries, or dancing with folks suffering with Alzheimer’s disease. We believe in taking care of our neighbors.

Our attorneys serve on various Boards of Directors and Boards of Trustees for numerous non-profits throughout Long Island, lending legal guidance, business acumen and other talents to these local 401(c)(3) organizations.

Cona Elder Law has been recognized for our outstanding contributions to the Long Island community at large. We received the Outstanding Corporation Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals , and we were named Those Who Make a Difference by HIA-LI.

Senior Dreams Come True

Senior Dreams Come True was founded by Cona Elder Law in 2007 to help the seniors in Long Island who struggle to make ends meet. The firm helps many low-income clients on a pro bono basis and created this charitable program to make a difference and enrich the lives of a few well-deserving seniors. If you know a senior who is frequently helping others and now has a wish for themselves, they may be a good candidate for Senior Dreams Come True.

For some, it may be a simple basic need being fulfilled while for others, they are fulfilling a life-long dream. Wishes are granted on a revolving basis throughout the year. Eligibility is limited to Long Islanders 65 and over with a household income of $1,500 or less per month for an individual or $2,000 or less per month for a couple.
