Protect Yourself from the Coronavirus

Cona Elder Law is at the forefront of the latest news on COVID-19, also know as the Coronavirus.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending that older adults avoid face-to-face contact to prevent being infected with the Coronavirus. The elderly and those with pre-existing conditions are extremely likely to develop complications from Coronavirus, similar to those of the flu and pneumonia. Unfortunately, there is no vaccination in place to help protect seniors from being infected. The elderly should heed this warning and limit their exposure to crowds, in addition to ensuring they have enough food and medication to sustain them. As always, we recommend having your important documents in place, such as a Health Care Proxy, in the event a health care crisis occurs.
