Michele Crawford, Jesika Kalika, Marcus O’Toole-Gelo, and Julie Wyetzner Honored by Leading Regional Business Publication

Jennifer Cona, founder and managing partner of Cona Elder Law, announced today that four members of her team have been recognized for their 2021 achievements by Long Island Business News.

Those being honored include:

• Michele Crawford, a paralegal who earned an “Unsung Hero Award”, which singles out support staff for exemplary performance that goes above and beyond the established parameters of their job.  Specifically, Ms. Crawford, a resident of Farmingville, was cited for developing and implementing a program wherein she volunteered her time and her substantial administrative skills to secure COVID vaccine appointments for the elderly – many of whom struggled with navigating the online process.
• Marcus O’Toole-Gelo, Esq, a partner at the firm, who was included among LIBN’s “Leadership In Law” honorees. The committee recognized Mr. O’Toole-Gelo, of Amityville, for positively impacting Long Island by demonstrating leadership, both in the legal profession and in the community. The criteria for the award included outstanding professional achievements, support of the community and active mentoring.
• Julie Wyetzner, Cona Elder Law’s Chief Operating Officer, and the firm’s new Marketing Director Jesika Kalika were both named to the “Top 50 Women in Business” list. The coveted title is reserved for the Island’s top women professionals based on business acumen, mentoring and community involvement and honors the most influential women in business, government and the not-for-profit fields. Ms. Wyetzner of Merrick and Ms. Kalika of East Meadow are both included on the list for the first time in 2021.
