According to the Pew Institute, about 30% of adults ages 60 or older do not know how to use technological devices.
To help Long Island seniors develop these important skills and overcome their fear of technology when using an iPhone or iPad, Cona Elder Law, elder law firm, and EAC Network, a social service agency on LI that helps people in need, will host a free “Senior Tech of Long Island” program.
It will be held on Thursday, July 27th from 4 PM - 5 PM at Cona Elder Law’s offices: 225 Broad Hollow Road, Suite 200, Melville, NY. The program is limited to 10 participants.
Attendees must bring their own iPhone and/or iPad so they can learn how to perform such functions as sending messages, video calling and browsing the internet. The small class size will ensure individual and personalized attention while making learning fun.
Light refreshments will be served. RSVP by calling Sarah Carpenter at 631-390-5000 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a smartphone but not an Apple product? Stay tuned for our second “Senior Tech of Long Island” session for androids and other smartphones.
