On Tuesday, Februay 12, 2013, Jennifer B. Cona, Esq., Managing Partner of Cona Elder Law, and member of LIAF's Legal Advisory Board, will participate in a legal clinic to provide individual legal guidance to attendees at the Long Island Alzheimer's Foundation (LIAF) Coping and Caring Conference and Awards Luncheon at the Hilton Long Island in Melville.
"In our experience, many seniors and caregivers have questions about the legal and financial aspects of caregiving," stated LIAF Executive Director, Fred Jenny. "Given the complexities of these issues, seeing an elder law attorney can be an important early step on a family's journey with dementia. By gathering the expertise of our Legal Advisory Board for individual mini-consultations, we hope to make it easy and accessible for families to begin the planning process, as well as for those who have done some prior planning to ask the questions that arise as laws and personal circumstances change."
The Elder Law Clinic will take place from 2pm-4pm and is included in the cost of full day conference ($55 for seniors and family caregivers; $140 for professionals).
