In honor of National Caregiver Month this November, Cona Elder Law, a leading elder law firm in Melville, is hosting its 4th Annual Caregiver Conference focusing on: Elder Care Conversations: Communication Strategies. It will take place on Tuesday, November 15th from 6 PM – 9 PM at the Hofstra University Club, Hempstead.

About the Speakers
Melissa Negrin-Wiener, elder law attorney, is a partner at Cona Elder Law PLLC. She manages the Government Benefits Department, concentrating her practice in the areas of Medicaid eligibility planning, Veteran’s Benefits, asset protection planning, guardianships and estate planning. Melissa is an Advanced Elder Law Mediator trained by the New York Peace Institute.
Ilene Corina, is the President of PULSE Center for Patient Safety, Education & Advocacy. Ilene is a nationally recognized award winning advocate for patient safety. She began educating the public on patient safety following the loss of her son from a medical injury. She was selected by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the “50 Experts Leading the Field of Patient Safety” and has won many awards for her work as an educator and an advocate.
Laura Giunta is the Director of Community Outreach at Senior Helpers. Laura began her journey with Senior Helpers 8 years ago while personally struggling through the maze of the elder care system. She is a Certified Senior Advisor, Certified Parkinson’s Care Specialist and Certified Senior Gems Alzheimer's and Dementia trainer.
