Mr. Kern has a deep commitment to his community and helping those in need. He is an advocate for the mentally ill and developmentally disabled adults having worked in the mental health field for over 15 years as a case manager and a direct care counselor. Mr. Kern participates in the law firm’s Midnight Run mission to bring food and clothing to the homeless in New York City and boxed in the Fight for Charity to raise funds for a school for autistic children and a community residence for disabled adults. Mr. Kern has also been honored as an Outstanding Pro Bono Attorney by Touro Law School and has received the Caregiver of the Year award from the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation (LIAF).
