Cona Elder Law Managing Partner and LIAF Board of Trustees Chair Jennifer Cona was honored for her Outstanding Leadership at the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation’s 4th Annual Making Memories: Cocktails & Casino Night on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at The Heritage Club at Bethpage.
Jennifer began her long tenure with LIAF 18 years ago when she became a volunteer on the Legal Advisory Board. She was tapped to serve on the Board of Trustees some years later and held the position of Vice Chair for 5 years. She has served as Chair of the Board for the past two years. During this time, Jennifer has helped LIAF grow in its new Westbury Center and position the organization for a sustainable future.
"It is such a privilege to work with the incredible staff at LIAF who are dedicated to enriching the lives of people with Alzheimer’s and dementia as well as providing supportive services for loved ones," stated Jennifer Cona. "I could not be more proud to work with LIAF and I am deeply touched by this honor."
Cona Elder Law was a proud sponsor of this event where all proceeds from the night went towards LIAF's programs for all stages of Alzheimer’s, Caregiver Support Groups, in-home respite solutions, transportation options, and additional services. LIAF's mission is to improve the quality of life for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and related forms of dementia, and their caregivers.
Parker Jewish Institute CEO and President Michael N. Rosenblut was recognized as Outstanding Health Care Provider and Kimberly Bent, the Executive Director of The Bristal at Lake Success, A Memory Care Community, was recognized as this year’s Rising Star.
"The honorees are dedicated to helping people impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and related forms of dementia, and this aligns with our mission and goals," said Tori Cohen, LIAF’s Executive Director.
