Many seniors are buying computers, iphones and ipads, but are afraid to use the technology. They often feel inadequate, especially when their grandchildren are crackerjacks at tweeting, posting pictures online, selling on eBay, surfing the net, chatting online and more.

This slow-paced, customized hands-on class is for the novice who has never used a computer or is self-taught and needs additional training. Whether someone wants to learn how to use the mouse, play solitaire, understand windows elements and navigate the menus or send an email, each attendee will sit in front of their own laptop computer so they can practice the skills they learn in this hands-on class.
An instructor from Sharper Training Solutions (STS), based in Babylon, will provide group training and individualized assistance to each participant at the Cona Elder Law computer class. According to STS owner Ceil Hearn, her company offers several thousand computer classes a year to adults at corporations and libraries on Long Island.
