As part of its ongoing commitment to charitable giving and community involvement, the elder law and estate planning firm of Cona Elder Law raised $1,000 for Pug Squad, a New York-based group of volunteers dedicated to helping pugs by providing financial assistance to pug rescues nationwide.
Cona Elder Law hosted several employee events to raise the funds, including a Fall Harvest pot luck lunch, a pumpkin decorating fundraiser, and “Casual for a Cause,” in which employees are welcome to dress down each Friday provided they make a donation. The firm selects a charity quarterly to focus its fundraising efforts towards. Recently, the firm invited members of Pug Squad to its Melville office to present them with the check for $1,000. The funds will be used by Pug Squad to support its goal of finding suitable homes for pugs, donating supplies to families who wish to keep but cannot afford to care for special-needs or senior pugs, and assisting rescues in the Tri-State area with shelter pulls, medical costs, transport and emergency fosters.
