Cona Elder Law has teamed up with The Bristal to continue the spirit of giving into the New Year. Cona Elder Law and The Bristal will be preparing and serving meals at The Interfaith Nutrition Network (The INN) soup kitchen in Hempstead on February 11, 2014.
The INN was founded in 1983 as a single soup kitchen run by a small group of volunteers. The volunteers discovered that there were large numbers of hungry people on Long Island. They formed an interfaith network of soup kitchens, opening kitchens in Hempstead, Long Beach, Freeport and Central Islip. Today, there are a total of 19 soup kitchens operating as part of The INN’s network across Long Island. 400 people are served each day and more than 7,500 people are fed each week.
Cona Elder Law is collecting needed items to donate to The INN. Please join us in supporting The INN by bringing any of the items listed below to the Susan C. Snowe Caregiver Resource Center, located in Cona Elder Law’s office at 225 Broadhollow Road in Melville. Items will be accepted until February 7, 2014.
